Background
Mr. Hahnlen has over 24 years of electrical engineering, lighting design, and leadership experience. Brian earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. His experience spans a variety of project types, including higher education, healthcare, multi-family, commercial, retail, cultural, entertainment, theatrical, and sporting venues. He has extensive experience creating moods and visual aesthetics with light and daylighting. He has designed luminaires and is skilled in the manufacturing processes used to create them. Brian has also taught graduate-level lighting design, has been part of the ASHRAE 90.1 lighting committee, has published several articles, and has won multiple IIDA and IES awards. In addition, Brian holds a patent for his work in lighting controls.
