Mechanical and plumbing systems design for this 110,000 SF sports complex located at University of San Diego, which was named for weight-loss entrepreneur Jenny Craig.
The facility contains a 5,100 seat sports arena, locker areas, training and weight room, and administrative offices. It is the home of the University of San Diego Toreros men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams.
The mechanical systems consist of a remote central heating and cooling plant, high-efficiency water centrifugal chiller, primary/secondary chilled water system, variable frequency control for the chiller and cooling tower, custom made air handling units and state-of-the-art Direct Digital Control system (DDC) to monitor and optimize the operation of the mechanical systems.
