The three-story hotel, which also includes thirty-nine 3,500 SF luxury two-story villa residential units, covers approximately 330,000 SF with an 86,000 SF parking structure and 245 guestrooms and conference suites. The facility also includes a pool, spa/fitness facility, cafes, gift shop/retail space and bandstand.
The mechanical systems consist of a four-pipe chilled water system with an energy-efficient, low-noise central heating and cooling plant.
The plumbing systems include the latest technology in sensor-operated faucets and flush valves in public toilet areas. The project includes two kitchens, a bar, two fine-dining restaurants, lobby, laundry, service facilities, wine cellar dining rooms, a chapel, ballrooms and conference facilities.
The Grand Del Mar resort became the first hotel in San Diego County (and ninth in the state), to receive a five-star rating from the Forbes Travel Guide.
