Mechanical and plumbing design build services for a 175,000 SF outpatient facility constructed to an OSHPD 3 standard on the campus of Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. The structure is six (6) stories above grade and one (1) story below grade. The scope also includes the relocation of the Graduate Medical Education Center (GME) to a portion of the lower level of the Schaetzel building.
The mechanical systems include an energy efficient central plant with high efficient variable flow air cooled water chillers, gas fired heating hot water boilers and pumps. All chilled and heating hot water pumps include premium efficient motors and are controlled with variable speed drives. The spaces are served by variable volume air handling units with variable speed fans and individual zone control variable air volume terminal boxes with hot water reheat coils. The system includes high efficient individual zone humidifiers where required in OSHPD 3 areas.
