Mechanical and plumbing design of the HVAC and plumbing systems for this two-story 50,500 SF administration building, as well as a single-story 5,800 SF council chamber building for the City of Poway.
Mechanical systems include primary heating and cooling via heating hot and cold water, and terminal air delivery systems are equipped with variable air volume terminal reheat coils. The office building is served by roof-mounted chilled and heating hot water VAV air handling units, which are equipped with variable frequency drives and return/exhaust fans. Chilled and heating hot water is provided from a central chiller/boiler plant. Domestic hot water is provided via a gas-fired hot water heater. The system utilizes a direct digital control system.
Plumbing systems include full domestic hot and cold water system, sanitary waste and vent system, natural gas system, and fire protection.
