Mechanical engineering services for this design/build convention hotel expansion project.
The expansion, including the 33-story Seaport Tower and a four-story building adjoining the two towers, consists of approximately 750,000 SF total with 86,000 SF of meeting rooms, a 30,000 SF ballroom, a 34,000 SF gallery and 750 guestrooms. The project includes a kitchen, bar, lobby, service facilities, highrise design, conference facilities, and connection to the existing hotel tower. The four-star Manchester Hyatt is now the tallest and largest waterfront hotel on the west coast and the second largest in the Hyatt chain.
The mechanical systems consist of a four-pipe chilled water system with an energy-efficient, low-noise central heating and cooling plant.
