Mechanical and plumbing systems design for this three-story, 76,000 SF business administration building, which consists of lecture rooms, classrooms and administrative offices.
The mechanical design includes the expansion of the underground mechanical utilities (chilled water, hot water, etc.) for connection to the existing campus utility distribution. The mechanical systems also include various custom-made air handling units with special acoustical considerations and low velocity ductwork. Special attention was paid to the air distribution configuration to ensure optimum comfort throughout the building.
The plumbing design includes low flow plumbing fixtures with sensor operated flush valves and faucets, and a vertical storage type domestic hot water heat exchanger.
