Commissioning services for Phase 3 of the larger County Operations Center development project, which includes the crime laboratory and central plant expansion.
The crime lab consists of 60,000 SF of evidence storage, 44,000 SF of laboratory space and 54,000 SF of administrative office, totaling 158,000 SF. This facility supports the existing functions of the San Diego Sheriff’s Regional Crime Laboratory, Property and Evidence and Central Investigations Division. The central plant expansion includes the addition of a cooling tower, chiller, ancillary equipment and integration in the campus controls systems.
Commissioned systems for the crime laboratory includes air handling units, fan coil units, exhaust fans, heating hot water system, variable-air-volume zone terminal units, laboratory control valves, domestic hot water, lighting and day lighting system, equipment monitoring, building chilled water pumps, and building automation system.
The central utilities plant includes a new chiller, new chilled water pump, a new cooling tower, and a new condenser water pump.
All systems required to achieve the LEED enhanced commissioning credit.
