Mechanical and plumbing design for an adult male prison. The purpose of the Health Care Facility Improvement Program (HCFIP) projects is to remedy deficiencies in the health care components established by the California Correctional Health Care Services Program for the intermediate Institutions. The improvements were made in the primary care, specialty care, libraries, health care administration, pharmacy and medication distribution rooms. This project includes new ASU, Pharmacy and Dialysis Building, as well as renovations of existing buildings, infrastructure and ancillary improvements, a new pharmacy and dialysis unit building serving eight dialysis stations.
Mechanical systems include the replacement of existing packaged rooftop, variable air volume and constant volume air conditioning units and heating hot water reheat terminals. There are also packaged rooftop heat pump air conditioning units.
Plumbing systems include high purity water and OSHPD for a dialysis unit, chemical waste system for dialyzer discharge, compressed and vacuum air systems for dental procedure and sterilization rooms, domestic water distribution systems to exam rooms, inmate security areas and healthcare plumbing fixtures.
