Mechanical systems include new 100% outside air handling unit and exhaust fan tied into the existing systems to add redundancy to the building. Cooling and heating are provided by tying into the existing chilled and hot water distribution system. The systems consist of a VAV for both the office and laboratory spaces with CRC Air Valves serving the various fume hoods. The existing AHU supplies air to the office spaces that are not 100% outside air.
Plumbing systems consist of laboratory gases; nitrogen, helium, argon, compressed air, vacuum, industrial cold water along with a DI water and lab waste systems.
